Han - Cuisine of Naniwa

Located at Odeon Towers, HAN serves authentic Naniwa (‘old’ Osaka) cuisine with hints of Korean and Chinese elements using an exemplary range of premium ingredients and cuts of meat artfully gathered from across Japan. At HAN, diners can enjoy traditional Naniwa (‘old’ Osaka) cuisine served in thekaiseki dinner style—traditional multi-course banquet Japanese dinner.

HAN specializes in Kushikatsu (ku-shi-kat-su). Kushikatsu consists of skewered treats made with a variety of ingredients—meats, seafood and vegetables—that are dipped in batter and panko (breadcrumbs) and deep-fried in oil. Originating from Osaka, the great city where the best of the land and sea has always found its way to, kushikatsu is now regarded as one of Osaka’s traditional dishes no matter how and where it is served. The ingredients used at HAN are flown in from the finest regions in Japan, at the best possible times in each season.

HAN’s signature dishes also include beautifully handcrafted sushi that is not only delicious but also is a visual treat for diners. In Naniwa-style sushi, a lot of emphasis is focused on the flavour of the Shari (rice) which is known for its subtle yet complex flavours. Cooked ingredients such as grilled sea eel, egg omelettes and simmered dried tofu are usually used.

The freshest Neta (raw fish) is complemented with Shari seasoned in Chef Arakawa’s secret marinade to create the perfect harmony of flavours in each piece.
