While the white painted walls with glass panels and a store sign of distinct blue at the front and interior hint of Japanese charm, FLOR Patisserie’s vibrant array of authentic Japanese inspired French pastries seals the concept.

Freshness and quality of ingredients are the rules of the thumb at FLOR, and we strive to compose a harmony of colours, as well as flavours, in our creations. In fact, so important are the ingredients in attaining the pinnacle of harmony in flavours and colours that they are sourced in Japan as much as possible. Sugar is one example.

“ The sugar in Japan is more natural-tasting, and so, gives a better result in our cakes,” explains the chef.

Confections from FLOR Patisserie feature largely of fresh fruits, are lighter in flavour then conventional French pastries, and emerge amazingly from a total lack of artificial stabilizers, agents or preservatives; not even a speck of baking powder is used. The soft yet moist quality of FLOR’s cakes is achieved from the natural aeration of eggs being whipped to their full peak, the careful emulsification of melted butter though the expert folding action of our chefs’ hands, and the precise timing and temperature of baking in the oven. Scrumptious yet delightfully healthier pastries made entirely of natural ingredients are what customers can expect from FLOR.

ABOUT US 2Besides our perennial favourites of Berry Berries (FLOR’s signature strawberry shortcake), Waguri Millefeuile and Napoleon, seasonal cakes (that are also limited in quantity) are also lined up to excite our customers’ taste buds. FLOR’s signature Tofu Chiffon changes flavours every two months in accordance to the seasons.

Apart from using fresh ingredients, we are also exacting in that our customers receive the highest quality of cake that we can offer. All fresh cream pastries that are not sold at the end of the day are disposed of, therefore, ensuring our customers are gratified with cheerfully fresh cakes every single day.

Why FLOR?

‘Flor’ is a Portuguese word for flower, and is pronounced in Japanese as ‘fu-ro-ru’. Widely recognised and accepted as a symbolic representation of love, passion, and beauty, the flower embodies the delicate balance of nature and beauty.

We picture our cake display to that of a garden, a flourishing floral garden, and as you choose from our wide selection of fresh cakes, we invite you to assemble a very different sort of bouquet of delicate, edible “flowers” to adorn your table, to share with family and friends.

FLOR Pâtisserie is a Japanese-styled patisserie serving authentic Japanese inspired French pastry, where you can choose to dine in or to take out.

We take pride in using only the freshest and best quality ingredients in our pastries that have been sourced from overseas (Japan, Belgium, and France), and locally. To add to that our chefs use Japanese techniques and has adjusted our signature cakes to suit the climate and taste of Singapore.
